Another week on the mat, another week of teaching small children how to fight…well not really. I even got to teach some adult classes this past week. Who knew that I know adult martial arts as well as kids? Apparently, they are close to the same. Here is an outline of what I taught this past week.

Monday:

Kid’s Muay Thai- Walking Knees, Stance and Motions, Right Inward Knee, Step Left Inward Knee and Skip Knees. Off balance in the clinch and Curve Knee Defense.

Kid’s Jiu Jitsu- Front Bear Hug Over the Arms Defense, Posture in the Guard, Collar Choke Defense (comb the hair), Collar Choke Defense (squeeze the bread).

Tuesday:

Kid’s Jiu Jitsu- Same as Monday

Kid’s Muay Thai- Same as Monday

Adult Muay Thai- Stance and Motion, Parry Check Left Knee, Parry Check Right Knee, Skip Knees, Off balance in the clinch and curve knee defense.

Wednesday: 

Private Lesson- White to Blue

Private Lesson- Boxing

Kid’s Muay Thai- Technique Demo of Knees, Right Upward Knee, Left Upward Knee, Skip Knees, Off balance in the clinch and curve knee defense.

Kid’s Jiu Jitsu– Front Bear Hug Under the Arms Defense, Posture in the Guard, Knee on the Floor Break, Knee Cut Pass

Adult Jiu Jitsu Open Rank- Knee Tap Takedown, Knee on Belly Drills and Movement

Adult Muay Thai- Same as Tuesday

Thursday:

Kid’s Jiu Jitsu- Same as Wednesday

Kid’s Muay Thai- Same as Wednesday

Adult Muay Thai- Helping Tony with Fight Prep.

Friday:

Kid’s Jiu Jitsu- Front Bear Hug Defense Review, Posture in Guard, Knee on the Floor Break, Knee Cut Pass

Kid’s Competition Team Practice- Drill Doubles and Singles, Drill Open Guard Passes, Drill Knee Sheild Passes

Adult Jiu Jitsu Lab- Review of Knee on Belly Drills from Wednesday
